Nollywood Virus
Stars are not being made in our industry nowadays this is because Nollywood industry has been rampaged by poor and unprofessional Actors, directors and producers.
The professional actors no longer get enough jobs as they have refused to pay producers before they are giving roles to play. I call this career infection. Why will I have to pay to work for you? If I pay to work for, you who pays me then?
This poor and unprofessional directors and Producers prefer to cast that unprofessional Actors because of their willingness to Pay any amount stipulated by those career killers and they finally makes their movies with bunch of illiterate actors and their relatives who never dreamt of Acting nor even have it as a talent.
Now tell? by doing this Has any Star been made? NO.
The industry of then is far better and different to the industry of now when it comes to making Stars actually.
The likes of Richard Mofe Damijo, Kanayo O Kanayo, Ramsey Noah Jnr, Genevieve Nnaji, Segun Arnize, Stephnie Okereke, Patience Ozokwor, Ini Edo, Omotola Jalaide, Ibinabo Fibresima and lots of our Nollywood stars didn't pay to be featured in films rather there where paid and respected instead.
The worst is when u have to sleep with a director/producer or even PA's for a role. To our female actors how many are u going to sleep with?
Those dirty & devilish gay producers will say shit to u when u refused them to burst ur ass hole. I know of an actor one promised to make a Star if he becomes his gay partner, The actor accepted after been deceived by an idiot friend of his and today the actor is no where in the industry, he was infected by an unknown disease and today he lives on drug.
I also know of a girl who came into the industry prepared to eat any sugar cane (Irony) that comes her way, believing it will take her to the top. Today she has left the industry frustrated. Please don't be deceived by this common word "Every star did it". That's not true; Genevieve, Omotola, Stephnie, Mercy and the rest didn't mess around to be where they are today.
This haven't changed the fact that they are still professional film makers, who are good at what they do and still cast actors the right way; but they are very few nowadays.
Only God makes Stars and no man does it.
If actually a man makes stars, I know of some guys and girls who have featured on countless Nollywood films and there are still who they are today, nothing has changed yet, some of them haven't made a hundred thousand from Acting, rather they pay their producers and director instead. After been deceived that "they are paying dues". The only dues I pay is first my tithes and offerings, my guilds dues, paying to audition venues and calling some reasonable directors, producers, production managers and most importantly fasting and Praying
I am not after been a star, I just want to be successful actor and a legend film maker. If stardom hits me In d process, great. Because it sure will.
